In case you are unaware of what has been happening in Somalia, here is a brief recap:
Somalia has been without a government for about a decade after US forces tried to restore order to the country. The US was forced out by warlords and eventually gave up on the effort. Warlords have dominated the country for most of the time between then and now. In the last year, a group known as the Islamic Courts had stepped in and restored a government of sorts.
Ethiopia saw the development of the Islamic Courts as a dangerous entity in the region and recently routed the Islamic Courts.

Wed, January 24, 2007 - 6:27 PMOf course I'm a big fan of Black Hawk Down the book and movie. Somalia has been in anarchy since then. I belive it had ties to AlQuida back then and is finally beign rooted out by the U.S. Military Special Forces, C.I.A., and Ethiopian Army...
I'm Glad the Islamo facisist are being neutralized and hope the best for the Somalia people.
